Spiralling Semester
I have recently realized that I am pretty much screwed for the rest of the semester. I've been busy this first half, but my homework has at least been somewhat manageable. This is most definately not the case anymore. I'm sure that other people are facing the same thing with work levels quickly spiralling out of control. It may seem like I'm wining, but that's only because I AM wining. Next week I have three midterms, all of which promise to be oh so delightful. For awhile I thought, "at least spring break is close and I can relax", but I was just allowing myself to be fooled. I can't just lay on the beach and forget about classes for a few days because I have way too many things due right when I get back, including 3 papers within the first two weeks. Is everyone else going to have as much to do as I am? Come on, join my little pity party. You'll feel better afterwards; I know I do.

I feel your pain. I have two project proposals / outlines due this week and an exam next week. After spring break, I have to go to Ft. McCoy for a few weekends in a row - and then the papers start coming due. Yuck.
Same here, It seemed as though nothing was assigned the first 5 to 6 weeks of class and now its everything at once. Perhaps the university could consider staggering work over the semester?!?!
I'm having pretty much the same problem. I have the paper due this week, two exams next week, and then another exam right after spring break plus another paper that's due. When does the "break" portion of spring break ever come?
I'm starting to think we won't get a break until graduation day. But even then, my brother graduated early this year in December and still had to take a final the next day. So who knows...
I have two tests next Wednesday. Not looking foward to them at all. And my ZOO teacher won't tell us what we need to know. Who cares about plants anyway. Just hang in there. Only 7 more weeks.
i know how you feel. I have an exam next week too. Only one exam, but it's a pretty major one. It can make or break my grade. All I can say is...good luck for your exams, hang in there!
Break? Yeah, they should rename it Spring Catch-up -- Conference presentation, data analysis, BIG stack of books to read, proposal to revise . . . .
Anyway, I think it's just the nature of course to spend the first several weeks introducing content and then dishing out the assignments.
